renewed sceneries: wild valleys, lush forests,
summer pastures, tumbling rivers,
emblematic peaks and countless high-altitude lakes.
Walk along lonely hamlets and villages
with their slate roofs, cross medieval bridges,
visit Romanesque churchesand Baroque hermitages.
Wildlife is everywhere symbolized
by the two emblems of the park:
the brown bear and the capercaillie.

TOUR 1
The Cardós Valley
6 days / 6 nights
1. Detour to the perched villages of Tirvia and Burg, refuge for Republican maquis during the Spanish civil war. Scenic descent to Araós.
2. From Ainet de Besan, breath taking ascent of the legendary path "Grau d'Eixerto" leading to the wide plateau of Pla de Negua (altitude: 2000m).
3. Vall de Cardós: an easy going walk to discover traditional villages, medieval bridges and churches. Diner and night at Ribera de Cardós.

4. A beautiful section of the
GR 11 joins Estaon, "bordes de Nibros" and the panoramic
Col de Jou. Spectacular descent towards Tavascan.
5. The "Path to Freedom" leads to the Port of Tavascan (2217m) bordering Ariege. Return via the isolated lake of Mariola and the "bordes de Noarre".
6. Wonderful walk along a remote valley between the villages of Arestui and Baiasca across a great variety of forests and crystal clear rivers.

From Tavascan along the GR 11. Spectacular panoramas over high mountains and beautiful villages of the valley.
Night at the refuge of Estaon.
J2- To Esterri d'Aneu
An enchanting crossing to the heights of Caubo. Descent to the banks of the river Noguera Pallaresa and Esterri, the main town of the Aneu valley.
D3- Old path of Airoto
Departure from Borén to the valley of the medieval bridges. From the village of Isil superb ascension to the refuge and the estany of Airoto.
J4- Estany Negre of Peguera
From Espot, a scenic route leads to a mountain refuge and a series of magnificent lakes dominated by the summits of the Peguera range (2800m).
J5- Heart of the Encantats
Dream tour in the national park: breathtaking views over Ratera waterfall, the refuge and estany of Amitges and the renowned Sant Maurici lake.
D6- Magic of Aiguestortes
Climbing to the Portarró d'Espot and its panoramic views. On the way down to Boi, enjoy the Estany Llong and the meandering rivers.
